Patient Access / Scheduler / Prior Authorization Coordinator

Health Infusion Services is seeking an organized, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Access / Scheduler / Prior Authorization Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is essential to supporting patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and overall coordination of care for our outpatient infusion services.

We are a growing outpatient infusion practice focused on delivering safe, professional, patient-centered care in a comfortable, high-end setting. We are looking for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Position Overview
This role is responsible for helping patients, providers, and staff navigate the front-end administrative process of infusion care, including scheduling, benefit coordination, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and follow-up communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and respond professionally to patient and provider inquiries
• Schedule new and returning patients for infusion and injection appointments
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Obtain and track prior authorizations and referrals as needed
• Communicate with provider offices regarding missing documentation, orders, labs, and supporting records
• Maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and scheduling information
• Coordinate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and appointment readiness
• Assist with intake, chart preparation, and administrative follow-up
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office, infusion setting, specialty practice, or similar healthcare environment preferred
• Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent phone communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems preferred
• Professional, polished, and patient-centered demeanor

Compensation
$24–$30 per hour
